Slip Masterbatch

A high coefficient of friction (CoF) in the production process of polymer films leads to adhesion between the polymer film and the process surfaces (including metal surfaces) or other surfaces, resulting in disruption of the process, reduction of production speed, etc. To solve this problem, masterbatches of lubricant additives are used. After the extrusion process, the lysing additives quickly migrate to the surface and form a layer on the surface. This layer reduces the friction coefficient between the film layers or the film with any other surface that is in contact with it, and causes the film to separate better and easier from the surface.

The most widely used additives of lysing masterbatches are amides of the first type and derivatives of fatty acids. The concentration of the lysing masterbatch depends on the type of polymer and the degree of CoF required, and the rate of migration depends on the chemical structure of the additive.

The masterbatches of the Iranian Besta Polymer company under the brand name Beslip® are designed and produced based on different needs, such as the speed of migration, flowering, as well as the type of resin, etc. This additive masterbatch is used to increase the processability and final use of polymers.
