Anti-UV Masterbatch

Sunlight is a powerful source of UV radiation. Plastic materials can be susceptible to damage by the action of UV radiation of sun and oxygen in the air that cause break the chemical bond followed by degradation through a photo-oxidative process. Photo-oxidation can produce a number of undesirable effects including changes in appearance (discoloration, changes in gloss, and/or chalking), deterioration of mechanical and physical properties and the formation of visible defects such as cracks and fractures. Products which are required to spend extended periods outdoors as part of their service life will need protecting against this harmful degradation. Light stabilizers (UV stabilizer) are used to improve the strength of the plastic compound against the sunlight. This materials prevent the damaging effects of light on plastics. Light stabilizers inhibit this process either by scavenging the reactive intermediates or by competitive absorption of damaging UV radiation.

Basta polymer iranian anti-UV masterbatches with Belight® brand name are formulated based on different parameters and various career resins for maximum protection against damage caused by sunlight, heat and oxygen. These masterbatches have significant effects in maintaining the characteristics of polymers.

    Advantages
